Description

Chrysin is pale yellow powder(crystallized from methanol), m.p. 285 C. The soluble alkali hydroxide solution, Chrysin slightly soluble in ether, ethanol, and chloroform, insoluble in water. Chrysin is extracted from bignoniaceae plants auch as the seeds and bark of Oroxylum indicum (L.)Vent., Pinus mon-ticola Dougl. P.aristata Engelm. Chrysin has toxic effects on certain cancer cells.

Function:

1. Natural Conbination of anti-cancer, lipid lowering and anti-cardio-cerebral vascular diseases, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory drugs, such as raw materials.

2. Antioxidant activity, antiviral activity, antidiabetic action, reducing blood lipids ,depressing blood pressure and preventing gene mutation. Chrysin has antitumor activities, can suppress tumor cell multiplication and induce tumor cell apoptosis. Chrysin may have aromatase-inhibitory action.

3.Chrysin's ability to inhibit the aromatization of androstenedione and testosterone to estrogens has been demonstrated in the laboratory.

Application:

Chrysin works to inhibit the aromatase enzyme so that testosterone levels may be increased and estrogen levels may be decreased. Increased testosterone levels can lead to enhanced libido, improved erectile dysfunction, improved mood, increased muscle mass and preserved bone mass. Decreased estrogen levels proposed anti-anxiety and antioxidant properties.
