Rhizoma Corydalis Extract has been demonstrated to possess analgesic effects and may be beneficial in the treatment of heart disease and liver damage...It is a blocker of voltage-activated L-type calcium channel active potasium channels. It is a potent
muscle relaxant. It has also shown useful effects in the treatment of drug addiction to both cocaine and opiates, and preliminary human studies have shown promising results.

Pharmacology:
Tetrahydropalmatine have analgesia and sedativehypnotic activity, can depress the chtonic persistent pain and splanchna dull pain. It has effect of promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis and promoting circulation of qi to relieve pain. It is often used for hypochondriac pain due to stagnation of the liver-qi, stomachache due to stagnation of the stomach-qi, hernial pain. Tetrahydropalmatine has the protective effect on liver injury induced by carbon tetrachloride in mice.
