What is Marigold Extract ?

Marigold flower belongs to compositae family and tagetes erecta. It is an annual herb and widely planted in Heilungkiang, Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Yunnan , etc.The marigold we used comes from Yunnan province. Based on the local situation of special soil environment and lighting condition , the local marigold have characteristics like growing fast,long flowering period ,high productive capacity and adequate quality.Thus, the steady supply of raw materials, high yield and reduction of cost can be guaranteed.

What will Marigold Extract be used for?

1. Eye Health

Zeaxanthin (along with lutein) is an eye vitamin that migrates to the eyes and is drawn into lens, macula and fovea (at the retina's center). In the macula and fovea, zeaxanthin helps build the yellow macular pigment shield that protects eye cells from dangerous light frequencies. Zeaxanthin also provides powerful antioxidant activity, neutralizing the free radicals that destroy eye cells.

Application of Marigold Extract :

1. Protect eyesight

1) Lutein is one of basis in lens and retina of the eye, can prevent Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), and improve eyesight.

2) Prevent blindness resulted from AMD. In 1996, USA suggested that aged people of 60-65 should reinforce Lutein 6 mg per day.

3) Protect cells against the damaging effects of free radicals and/or as a filter in light sensitive tissues such as the eye macula, lens and retina that protect eyes against UV radiation from light and computer.

2. Alleviate Age Pigment Degeneration in human body and anti-lipid peroxidation by antioxidation.

3.Adjust blood-fat, prevent low density lipoprotein against antioxidation, and thereby alleviate cardiopathy.
